Hello Lions,

We ended our week with a field trip to Northwest Trek. It sounds like students got to see a lot of cool animals. Shout out to our parents and community members who joined as chaperones. We couldn’t have pulled this off without you. Thanks to the teachers and staff that attended as well. It takes a lot to step out of the classroom routine, so we appreciate all that you do.

Schools closure dates in November

Schools and district offices will be closed Nov. 22-24 for Thanksgiving break.

 

Message From Counselors:

The Deadline for Holiday Sign up is Nov. 20^th for Christmas Support. Supplies are limited so the sooner the better. Please stop by the main office to complete sign up sheet.

Families, winter is right around the corner, and sometimes that weather impacts our school schedule. When that happens, we will communicate with you in a number of ways, including email, calls and texts.

Check to make sure your contact information is up to date in ParentVUE. Select “My Account” to review and make changes. Find instructions for managing your account on online.

Lunch Update:

We do not have microwaves for students to use at school. Last hear we had safety issues that resulted because of microwave use.

 Connecting to the internet

All Tacoma Public Schools families are eligible for a program that helps connect people to affordable internet service. The benefit provides:

·       Up to $30/month discount for internet service

·       Up to $75/month discount for households on qualifying Tribal lands

·       A one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, desktop computer or tablet purchased through a participating provider
